If you are referring to Barbara and Laura, then I would disagree. Barbara Bush is liberal on some issues (such as abortion), and Laura Bush is best described as a moderate.

The secrets are that politics don't always allow for good family relationships. I think that you will find an inordinate number of dysfunctional families on both side of the political aisle. Some of the progeny survive this test of parental absence (mental and physical) and even thrive, others do not.
