NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Are the very rich really so different than the rest of us? Well, maybe not. But they do drive much better cars.

Some automakers these days are rolling out models that cost more than a family home. Strong demand for them -- along with an assortment of other ultra-high-priced consumer goods -- is proof that some wealthy people will pay top dollar for just about anything.

,,, one of these would be a whole lot cheaper than an Enzo but you'd still manage to have some clothes on fun.

Actually I kind of like this idea:

"Vertu (Nokia cellphone)'s much-touted "concierge button" connects users to a live person who can do their bidding, any time of day or night in 170 countries worldwide. "

Just an attempt to stir up leftist envy and "what a waste!we would spend that moeny on more useful things like health care! Raise taxes on the rich." I'm poor but I'll say loudly, if you can afford it, enjoy.

"Man is a luxury-loving animal. Take away play, fancies, and luxuries, and you will turm him into a dull, sluggish creature, scarcely energetic enough to obtain a bare subsistence. A society becomes stagnant when its people are too rationale or too serious to be tempted by baubles."

"If I'm in Barcelona," says Vertu spokesperson Erin Hawker, "and I need a yoga instructor they can find me one." That's probably why Gywneth Paltrow, Tom Ford and Madonna all have one.

Obscene living, no wonder why they are quilty. Then they fund campaigns.

"A steal at under $27,000. With a casing that can be made from either platinum or 18 carat gold"

What a bummer to leave THAT cell phone in the restroom at some restaurant!

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.

Mark 10:25

I hope you guys enjoy that stuff while you can.

What the leftists always conveniently forget is that a lot of people get paid decent wages to build or manufacture luxury items.

The luxury tax (late 80's or early 90's) put many small custom boat builders out of business (small builder, not small boat).

Or to drop into a toilet as my wife did with hers. But, she did fish it out and attempt to revive it. Brave girl, she.
