What do you mean you hope he runs? He's been running for some time now.
Outstanding! I thought the implication of the article was that because he got stiffed by the state committee, he had no chance. I would like see Toomey debate Spectre on some of the core issues where Spectre has been voting wrong for the last twenty years. In a single debate, Spectre would be revealed as the corrupt, drooling lobotomite Rino he is and the good people of Pennsylvania would have done with him. And finally, all of these little schemes to keep Spectre off of the Judiciary Committee are entitled to the same credence as the WH explanation for the President's failure to veto the CFR Act. Which is none at all. The only way to put the oak stake through Spectre's heart is to vote him out. As long as he is in the Senate he provides legitimacy for the other Rinos to vote with the dark side and to trash the President's agenda with impunity. The White House should have the sky raining down on the bastard, to make an example of him, to encourage the others, as the froggies put it. [Not to mention putting a great new conservative in the Senate.] Instead they are playing kissy face with him. I hope they are just hedging their bets, but I doubt it.
