Yes, very much so. In our "me-generation," instant-gratification era, too many have quickly forgotten that 9/11/01 and the anthrax attacks were:
I don't know if the magnitude of what happened that Fall has yet sunk into the minds of many Americans. If we had a president in office who indulged in finger-pointing at the prior administration, or at the other political party, or who didn't act decisively to kick-start the nation's economy, or destroy our enemies, who knows where we'd be today.
There is nothing more truly conservative (and Republican) than actions and behavior of George W. Bush in the aftermath of 9/11/01 and the anthrax attacks. For people who genuinely consider themselves conservatives to fail to reward this President for literally conserving the nation getting it through those dark days with the least possible long-term damage would be, frankly, dishonorable.
