Yeah, It takes real tough guys to attack a News crew.
I'm assuming they had "NEWS" all over their vehicles and the terrorist think news people don't carry gun.

Methinks he was saying that the people who did the ambush on a couple of journalists are the Kerrying cowards.
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
An easy assumption to make.

I guess they didn't like the news coverage?

I'll bet CNN won't refer to these uncivilized animals as terrorists even though it was their own guys that were killed. In fact, expect more praise for terrorists from CNN now. Rewarding your enemies when they attack you is the essence of appeasement.

While the personal aspects of this are tragic, I don't think it is unfair to note that CNN (by its own admission) had spent years cultivating an "arrangement" with the Baathists. The two victims most certainly didn't deserve to die. It's long past due for CNN to come out and acknowledge the fact that they were tacit supporters of the same people who are now murdering their own.

On second thought, I am being bad and hereby withdraw my comment. My bad. I liked your comment, so it's a good thing you made it before withdrawing it. :-)

BAGHDAD, Iraq - A driver and a translator-producer working for CNN were shot and killed Tuesday by unidentified assailants outside Baghdad, the network said.
And just where was Al Franken when all this occurred? Was he seen in the neighborhood?

You're right... Some CNN critics are really harsh.
To: OXENinFLA
I am assuming that this was specific, deliberate and intentional: the snakes in the desert want to raise cain in our media about conditions, our occupation, etc. for the purpose of trying to get us out.
Going after the UN hasn't worked, going after our military hasn't, going after foreigners hasn't, and there's something of a backlash now in the Muslim community about killing fellow Muslims, so the media tends to accomplish multiple purposes for them - raising the profile, and more negativity in that profile.
So as if the media wasn't already ducking, they'd better duck lower now, IMHO.

Oh yeah (revising and extending my remarks) - shooting unarmed people? That's of course what terrorism is all about. Cowardly at its core.

Unarmed? You mean like the CNN crew who's bodyguards shot their way out of Tikrit.

You can't be proud of that post?
To: Hillarys Gate Cult
Maybe - I had forgotten about that, but I think we can be pretty that these guys didn't get a shot off. The principle still holds, of course.
Note - still nothing on cnn.com about this.

Sometimes, when you are paying evildoers to launch a missle at an inbound USA aircraft so you can have some good tape for the broadcast and the Pulitzer application, things can go wrong, terribly wrong. You'd think that after all the scandals at the NYT about the reporters reporting things that didn't happen, these news manipulators/manufacturers would learn. I guess the chance of making Bush look bad was just too much.
