For what it's worth, this is what Rich Lowry's sources tell him.

At least Dean is holding on to a close second. Sure wish he'd win though.

Don't count out Howard Dean just yet. Dean has far more money in his campaign money chest that the other candidates and he's willing to use it, too.

Other than Dixville Notch, I don't think there are any early returns.

These are more likely initial data from exit polls.

Any word on Lieberman? This figures add up to 91%. That means only 9% for the other candidates. Would like to see Lieberman crack 10%.

Wow, 67% of New Hampster Dems for one left-wing nut or another.

I'm glad I'm a Nebraskan.

Maybe Dean will finish a close second in NH after all. Hopefully the media will proclaim him "The Comeback Kid" (as Clinton self-proclaimed himself in 1992) and he can roll on to the nomination.

'You know, if that durn Clark would have gotten out of the race, Dean would be ahead,' claimed one of Dean's supporters.

'Dean,' snapped back one of Clark's supporters, 'should have gotten out after he was proven to be a loser in Iowa.'

'Was not!,' replied the indignant Deanie.

'Was too!' said the highly offended Clarker...

Kerry's wife has quite a campaign chest.

More importantly, Kerry and Dean appear to be close enough -- and their overall percentages low enough (around 1/3 of the voters) -- that there are going to be some serious behind-the-scenes deals cut over the next few days to get the other candidates to drop out and throw their support behind one of these two.

Any word on Lieberman?

He faded in the polls at the end there, after a boost from his debate performance. He needs strong IND turnout.

Rich Lowry just posted the following (I agree with his analysis except for the part of Kerry being favored moving forward into next week and then Super Tuesday):

WOW [Rich Lowry]
Dean can really spin this as a kind of moral victory, if these numbers are roughly accurate (if past experience is any indication, they generally are). It would set up a Dean v. Kerry race going forward. (You’d have to favor Kerry heavily, especially given next week will be tough for Dean.) Edwards’ showing would be a big disappointment. Meanwhile, Lieberman is nowhere to be seen. Stay tuned…

If Dean doesn't come in first in his own backyard, he's done. Al Sharpton might get more votes than Dean in South Carolina, and no southern state is going for him over Kerry or Edwards.

If Dean keeps it in single digits, he leaves New Hampshire just fine-- if he can still raise money like he has. He's got a good shot at New Mexico.
