There was stuff going on during Election 2000 I thought I'd never forget, but you do forget. I can't even remember enough of the thread titles to do an archive search for them now.

And every week I still read some idiot or other's editorial featuring an out-and-out lie about that election or the recount or the re-recount or the Supreme Court decision.

I think you summed it all up right there. I guess my view has been that of someone who dreads one day hearing someone I know on one of those tapes. That would destroy me, I think.
