DENVER - Twenty-three congressmen warned President Bush in a letter yesterday that he risks an election-year backlash from Republican voters if he continues to press his guest-worker proposal.

The Republican lawmakers said their congressional offices have received a flood of angry letters, e-mails and phone calls from Republican constituents vowing that they will refuse to vote for the president if his program is approved.

Uh, Don, todays demo party is not Humphrey's demo party. They have been taken over by the leftists such as Kerry.

Wow, not only did my point go right over your head, but then you had to jump up and yell "Bullseye!"

You're right, of course. Today's demo party isn't Humphrey's demo party. The bigger problem is that today's GOP party ain't even Humphrey's demo party. It has moved that far to the left.

That was the point I was trying to convey, and I thank you for underscoring it.

The spectrum has moved so far to the left that today's "Republicans" are way to the left of yesteryear's "Liberals".

Hey, you finally got one right!

Congratulations! You're today's winner of the "Blind Pig" Award.

Remember, there's still one more acorn to find -- so don't give up just yet!

Huh I didn't know such Republican proposals such as privatizing social security or medical savings accounts were liberal.

Why do you spout such stuff. You know that Humphrey would not be for those things.

And it appears your principals are for destroying our borders, and turning the United States into a third world country.

How dare you accuse him of having principles? :)

Wear some garlic to bed so Rove doesn't come in and bother you. Oh and don't eat any Mexican food, it will destroy your will to resist. Oh and don't forget to post that you will NOT VOTE FOR BUSH again. It has been at least 5 minutes since the last one.

I am curious as to why you are so loud in your decision? Who are you trying to warn?

What a coincidence. I was entertaining precisely those questions vis-a-vis your traffic here.

They see a Rove behind every Bush and a Mexican under every bed.

Nope, not under my bed -- but, on my land. So far they've stolen my boat from my pond, poached my blueberry crop (ONLY a few thousand bucks worth) for three years in a row, some poultry, etc.

Just a few illegals getting their fair share, right?

Right.

Goodbye, America!

Hola, Amexica!

Its time King George and Counselor Rove started paying them noblesse oblige for a change.

Droit de seigneur is getting a little old.

You guys are funny.
Your condescending name calling and arrogant posturing vividly outline your idiocy on this matter.
Cast your own vote in Nov. and until then do FR a favor and STFU.

Agreed.

Threats and attempts to intimidate are the WRONG WAY to try to change George W. Bush's mind - or even to get him to listen to your concerns.

That's what his father thought, also.

Bush won't change his mind about open borders, because this was put into motion by the UN years ago, and Bush agrees with it.

The only thing that will save America is for States to rise up independly, stop welfare and health care for illegals in your own state, and insist that criminals be deported.

Conservative Republicans and Democrats should join together and promote States rights legislation, and if the judiciary fights it, disbar the pukes.

It is obvious that if they are going to threaten or try to intimidate this Pres Bush, they will get nowhere fast! He doesn't take lightly to being threatened, does not get intimidated, and he has a memory that never forgets!

Seems some folks need to learn the lesson that President Bush is not like his Dad. He is much more like his Mom and we all know what happens when Barbara Bush gets angry. In 1994, she wasn't out campaigning that much for George W. for Governor until Ma Richards went on the attack. From that point on she crisscrossed the state with Nolan Ryan and also with Laura Bush.

See President Bush with some of the same attributes as his Mom -- when people go on the attack, his resolve strengthens in doing what he believes is the right thing -- threatening or trying to intimidate could have an adverse affect. This President will deal with reasonable people and their ideas. Threatening or trying to intimidate the President is not reasonable IMHO.
