Sharon and Hitler share space at Anne Frank house

A photo of PM Ariel Sharon alongside one of Adolf Hitler is currently being exhibited at the Anne Frank Museum in Amsterdam, reported Army Radio Wednesday.

The photos are presented as part of an exhibition on 'borderline cases' aimed at testing the borders between freedom of expression and discrimination, according to the museum's spokesman.

Viewers are shown a video, in which demonstrators held a poster of Hitler and Sharon in protest over Israel's policies in the Palestinian territories.

They are then asked to vote on whether in the name of fighting racism, freedom of speech may be infringed on.

I have to admit my take on this was a bit different, I interprited the article to be presenting the Sharon-Hitler comparison as an example of an abomination that pushes the limits of free speach, in the same way the Bush-Hitler ads might, not as a comparison of Sharon and Hitler. Of course they should be allowed, but roundly condemned.

Hitler was very successful with the Final Solution in Holland. There are only about 20,000 Jews in the country, far fewer than there are Muslims, and most are areligious.

Hi all of you,

As my name says I am from Holland and I think it is a discrace that everywhere I walk, I hear comments about Israel en their policy. Since I was young, all that I heard was: "Ahh those poor Palestines". And of course I understand that it is hard for them. But on the otherside, they don't want peace. They want the country Israel for themselves. They want the distruction of Israel, the distruction of the Jews...
That does sound a lot like Hitler to me.

Every country should have the right to defend themselves. Defending, because it is War! The people in Holland and a lot of other countries seem to forget this.
