Dean: (Oh, is This Why Joe Trippi Got The Hatchet?)
ABC News ^ | 28 Jan 03 | Reena Singh

Following the Governor's speech, "I Won't Back Down" piped through the gymnasium as volunteers pulled Dean signs off the walls. Sitting at the edge of stage--Joe Trippi, Steve McMahon and Paul Maslin. When asked what happened in New Hampshire, Trippi said, "I'm not talking to you." His response to why was "Because the media is a pain in the ass."

The Dean team meets in Burlington tomorrow to come up with new strategies. According to the campaign, this is now a two-man race. Staffers say his message will essentially stay the same except that there will be more emphasis on his executive experience and on Kerry as a Washington insider. "The difference between Howard Dean and John Kerry is results versus rhetoric," said McMahon.

McMahon categorizes the future ad strategy as being about the "next seven weeks, not just about the next seven days." Ads in New Hampshire are obviously down and no other ads are expected to go up until Friday.

Thursday the Governor touches down on delegate rich Michigan before going to Greenville, South Carolina. In fact, the Governor's most recent schedule takes him to both Feb. 3 and Feb. 7 states. He is lagging in South Carolina, New Mexico and Arizona polls and it appears as if the campaign is focusing on Michigan and Washington states.

As for the Dean New Hampshire staff, they will begin the Post mortem tomorrow as well as discover what their next assignments will be. Most have all put in their relocation requests. Arizona and New Mexico seem to be the top choices. "I need to thaw out and I really need a tan," said one New Hampshire worker.

DEan is a fruit cake.

The day before the New hampshire primary he says that Iraqis were better off under Saddam.

Dean makes terrible mistakes and then can't stop trying to justify the mistakes.

This is human defect that ought to get his medical license revoked.

Did you notice the error in the exit polls? The exit polls showed dean doing 4 points better than he did.

That means that voters were lying to the exit polls or Some Deaniacs go jobs as Exit pollers and were screwing with the numbers. I think the latter could have happened.

No, that's not why. I had been tipped of the shakeup hours before this incident even happened. I posted an offhand comment about it here.

This wasn't the first time NH has had exit poll problems. In 1996, the networks all declared Bob Smith the loser based on faulty exit poll data.

Dean will have to have all his stump speeches revamped now that he's hired one of DC's biggest lobbyist to replace Trippi! What a turncoat!

Don't you just love it? According to Dean, GW Bush is responsible for each and every problem in the world, except one, which is his own failing campaign, of course for which Joe Trippi is responsible.

I'm amazed that a Doctor with an IQ of 150,000 manages to never be responsible for anything. No wonder Enron looked into relocating operations to Vermont. They had a position on personal responsibility that was very similar to that of the governor.

Yeah...
Kerry has two first place results, and Dean has offered us really poetic rhetoric.

eg. "YEEEEEAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH"
