Those who are out to win on this issue (and I do NOT mean the people, good citizens of this country who have legitmate concerns) will use any tactic including lies and attempts to defame and label, will use any means to muzzle us. They are trying to do the same with Tancredo using any means possible to punish him for his stand. These sick tactics makes me even more strong in my resolve to write in Tancredo in the election. God Bless JustPiper.

I don't know that you can threaten them with libel, since they only identified you by your FR handle. Which sucks, because I hate seeing them get away with this crap.

Can anything good come from the Southern Poverty Law center?
These are the racists who produced "Gathering Storm:Americas' militia threat" and the same wicked people who cellibrated Myron Thompsons Klannish decision in
Glassroth v.Moore.

Not to worry, people we elect are looking out for us. Uh.. kind of. Part A of one campaign promise was kept, now for Part B.

http://www.sacbee.com/content/politics/ca/story/8174159p-9105617c.html

[Schwarzenegger] said he is working "very hard" with Sen. Gil Cedillo, D-Los Angeles, to come up with "a great bill" that would allow undocumented immigrants to obtain driver's licenses.

He blasted similar legislation signed last year by former Gov. Gray Davis and persuaded legislators to repeal the law immediately after taking office.

Schwarzenegger has said many times that once security and insurance issues can be resolved to his satisfaction he'd support a new bill, but his comments Tuesday were among his strongest on the prospect to date.

And he said he's not worried about opposition from fellow Republicans, many of whom threatened to ask voters to repeal the Davis-signed law if Schwarzenegger couldn't get the Legislature to do it.

"I'm talking to my Republican friends all the time about it and also to my Democratic friends," he said Tuesday. "We will do it."

[end excerpt]

Anyone who read his official campaign site knew this was coming. There was also speculation locally that the ease at which AB60 was repealed signaled a deal was struck to bring it back with "more safeguards."

Tancredo says that any immigration reform bill that comes out of Congress will be worse than the Bush plan.

Immigration Reform -
Actively continued chairmanship of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus.

Introduced H.R. 3600, the National Border Security Agency Act.

Led effort in Congress to oppose further extensions of Section 245(i).

Chaired a hearing of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus.

Introduced H.R. 2712, the Mass Immigration Reduction Act of 2001.

Introduced H. Con. Res. 220, a resolution affirming the commitment of Congress to preserving the sovereignty of the United States and the integrity of its border.
Compiled a set of fourteen immigration reforms.

Rep. Tom Tancredo’s Four-Point Plan for Immigration Control - The United States has lost control over its immigration policy. Over one million persons enter our nation illegally each year and we have antiquated and error-prone systems for knowing who our legal visitors are and for enforcing their visa time limits. Every poll shows that over 75% of citizens support border security and strict enforcement of our immigration laws.

Tancredo Warns the Social Security System Endangered by Bush’s "Totalization Agreement" with Mexico
Congressman Tom Tancredo
Posted on 01/29/2004 7:46:16 AM CST by Happy2BMe

A September 2003 GAO Report warns that the cost of the proposed agreement cannot be reliably estimated because the number of eligible Mexican workers in unknown and may number in the millions.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Tom Tancredo (CO-06) today criticized President Bush’s proposal for allowing both legal and illegal Mexican workers to reclaim their Social Security contributions when they reach retirement age. "The President’s proposal bears no resemblance to the other agreements we already have with 20 other countries," said Tancredo. "Bringing illegal Mexican workers into the Social Security System not only rewards illegal behavior, it also further endangers the fiscal health of our Social Security System."
