I rarely watch local Connecticut news, but decided to tune in tonight for two big stories: a new Indian tribe gets recognition and Bush in town. First I tuned in CBS Channel 3 from Hartford, and their lead story was about how some teenage boys were supposedly abused or something like that. Then I tuned to WTNH to see what they had. They led with the Indian tribe, as I expected -- that's a big story here, as this tribe will probably try to build a casino. Their second story was on the Bush visit, and they had some scenes. Didn't look like a huge crowd there, and damn was their lighting horrible. Then the third story was about Rowland, where the newscaster flubbed the word "impeached" to say "impenis" or something really similar before correcting himself. Yeah, I don't watch a lot of local news. And that woman on channel 12 has way too much hairspray.

An understandable Freudian slip, given that the whole western world is still suffering from PTCS (Post-Traumatic-Clinton-Sydnrome) years later...
Thanks for the giggle. I miss them northeastern local news channels sometimes! (read: rarely...)
