First, thanks for being there. My only other point is that as a life-long resident of Greenwich I think you may be painting somewhat of an unfair picture. Sure there are some newer residents that may fit the profile of the latte sipping limo liberal. By and large however Greenwich is a Republican town, albeit much too Country Club Republican for my tastes. We may be responsible for Christopher Shays, and that's bad enough, but we're not responsible for SoreLoserman or Ted Kennedy's drinking partner, Christopher Dodd. Just wanted to defend my hometown a little :-)

I agree with you. Greenwich is also my hometown (born there, lived in Stamford for a 10 year stint as a kid, and moved back in time for two years at GHS), and it really is more economically diverse than people realize.

I still miss it, but do mourn the "old" Greenwich Avenue - seems like there are a lot more national chain stores there. Me, I remember Boswell's Drugstore, the indy shoestore, and all the other cool stuff that used to be there.

But there are Kennedy family members entrenched in Greenwich.

My recollection of Greenwich calls to mind the typical country club republican (RINO)
