The ketchup king should explain to New yorkers just how exaggerated that threat was on 9/11.

"John Edwards, the boy-wonder plaintiff's attorney from North Carolina, who is mainly running for president because he knew he couldn't get re-elected to the Senate, chimed in as well, saying that national security was important, but there were other pressing issues. This is a recurring theme from Edwards. When asked about the war or the threat of terrorism, he almost always dodges the question and gives some canned line about how he understands the problems that face Americans every day--like education and health care."The "put-on-a-happy-face" candidate.

Terrorism has been a threat since its inception, but I have seen not one damn person who gave a rat's pooper, before 9-11. Who rang alarm bells when our intelligence services were neutalized? We have acted exactly as we did before WWII (with respect to knowing what our enemies were up to) and, oddly enough, reaped the same reward.
Bill O'Reilly asked the question but missed perhaps the most crucial part of the question. "WHO'S LOOKING OUT FOR YOU?" Which of our leaders, of either party or branch of government, at any point in time, upheld their constitutionally defined duty.

My neighbor, the socialist democrat is going to vote for Edwards because he is cute! I'm glad that priorities are so straight around here. I get so mad that I just wave my hand and say I don't want to talk politics anymore. It is maddening.

Every time these fools spout this stuff they are giving aid and comfort to the terrorists and guaranteeing that the terrorists will try to maintain their activities until the election.
How many soldiers will die needlessly because of these foolish statements?

Yeah exaggerated ... I also imagined 9/11 too.
Sometimes it looks like Kerry v.s. Kerry with some of his rhetoric on the Iraq war. He served with many honors in the Viet Nam war now he talks like a empty headed pacifist.

WOT is THE number one issue...Kerry cannot be elected...it will be open season on all Americans in the world and our security will fall into the hands of Koffi Annan.

We must guard against complacency. We must not underrate the enemy. He is powerful and cunning-and cruel and ruthless. He will stop at nothing which gives him a chance to kill and to destroy. He has trained his people to believe that their highest perfection is achieved by waging war. For many years he has prepared for this very conflict-planning, plotting, training, arming, fighting. We have already tasted defeat. We may suffer further setbacks. We must face the fact of a hard war, a long war, a bloody war, a costly war. We must, on the other hand, guard against defeatism. That has been one of the chief weapons of (the enemies) propaganda machine-used time and again with deadly results. It will not be used successfully on the American people.
From FDR's 1942 State of the Union speech.
I guess the Rats have given up on the 'defeatism' concept.
What part of War don't they understand?
What facet of the 9/11 attack did they miss?
Why do they feel their ambitions are greater than the collective resolve?

Kerry claimed that the threat of terrorism had been "exaggerated."Amazing and sad that any American, let alone one running for the position of Commander-in-Chief could even think this, let alone state it. But then again, they are all democrats.....

In one sentence he said that "the United States was not threatened by terrorists or WMD's". In the same peech he promised to make America safer than George Bush.
Safe from what threat, Mr. Kerry?

Let's see. Terrorists have already demonstrated an ability to kill 3000 people on American soil at a time. Kerry now says the threat of terrorism is exaggerated. He must be suggesting that the administration has indeed made us safer since 9-11.
To: LSUfan
In a Democratic presidential debate, Kerry claimed that the threat of terrorism had been "exaggerated." Exaggerated? Hmmm. Let's see, the worst terrorist attack in the history of mankind just under 3 years ago and the threat is exaggerated? Nice job Kerry ... You just proved to everyone that you are dumber then Dean

Amazing! Ketchup Boy says the threat of terrorism is "exaggerated," and the Ambulance Chaser from N.C. says there are other pressing priorities than terrorism! How does the Dem Party retain its role as one of two major parties in this country?!?!

Yesterday Senator John Kerry made a maddening statement which showed exactly why he is completely unsuitable to become president of the United States. Anyone know why John Forbes Kerry spent 5 years at St. Paul's school (a high school)?
Maybe it wasn't only a high school back then?
A privileged youth, a taste for risk, from the Bahston Globe
After five[?!?!] years at St. Paul's, Kerry was eager to move on to his father's alma mater, Yale
