I tried to bump the original version of this article, posted in 2001, but it was locked.
Just a reminder for folks who keep claiming Bush is the lesser of two evils. We know what evil looks like - we had it skulking around our White House for 8 painfully long years. Bush is not evil, despite the quote from my beloved Dr. Keyes, or his inference to Bush's policies.
I didn't support Bush in the primaries; I worked on the Keyes campaign and made no secret about it. Principles, I thought, matter more than party politics. Bush has stood tough on a number of important issues; I backed our invasion of Iraq and the outster of Saddam before we went in, and still do. I will overlook our differences because they are not paramount. If Kerry is elected, and intends to the retun to the pre-9-11 method of dealing with terrorists, our country is in for a world of hurt that will make 9-11 look like a bad car crash instead of horrendous massacre.
No thanks! I will never turn my children's future over to some fruitloop like Kerry.

Fruitloop? That's a good one.
Good post. Thanks.
When the naysayers have shown up, I'll be back.

(I refuse to call candidates for President "Democratic" as they are NOT. They are Democrats.)

I supported Bush to begin with. I have been disappointed in some things he has done, but I could not agree with you more about reelecting him.
There is NO Democrat that would not do great damage to the US if elected. Likewise there is no way any independent can be elected.
I still believe any vote for a 3rd party is a vote to elect the Dims.
Some may vote for the independents in some form of protest, but no independent is going to win.

"He won without them or in spite of them; much to their furious dismay, he will stay true to his agenda." The fact that he will stay true to his agenda should send all patriotic Americans fleeing the voters booth.
