In many circumstances, both recall and impeachment are options. In others, you are more limited to public outcry. In all cases, however, organizational skills, persistence, and sufficient will to oust the offenders is required. Sadly, there is usually a high threshold to overcome public apathy in these matters (and of course the pro big-government media doesn't help.)

You're right here. And the government has grown so big that it's hard to figure out where to start. People simply can't keep track of who's doing what. As you said, the media disinformation tops it off. But let's be hopeful - a few years back, who would think that a site like FR was possible.
