KAY:"...I think the world is far safer with the disappearance and the removal of Saddam Hussein. I have said I actually think this may be one of those cases where it was even more dangerous than we thought.
I think when we have the complete record you're going to discover that after 1998 it became a regime that was totally corrupt. Individuals were out for their own protection. And in a world where we know others are seeking WMD, the likelihood at some point in the future of a seller and a buyer meeting up would have made that [Iraq under Saddam Hussein] a far more dangerous country than even we anticipated " ....

I believe that the MAJOR MISTAKE of the Bush Administration regarding the War in Iraq has been allowing the Democrats and the Liberal Mainstream Media to Define the Discussion. The WMD issue is a Red Herring issue when isolated.
President Bush and his advisors were facing a World where IRAQ was being Defiant and All World Intelligence pointed to the presence of WMD in IRAQ and Saddam's support of Suicide Bombers' families, etc. Meanwhile, North Korea was Lobbing Missiles over Japan and threatening Nuclear Development within 6 months, while simultaneously shipping missles hidden on container ships to the Middle East. Meanwhile, we were continuing to fight a War on terrorism in Afganistan.
How Many of the Democrats running for President and the News Media Elite would want to simultaneously fight a war in North Korea and in Iraq and in Afganistan and in Bali and Defend the Homeland in the USA ......?????
The News Media, who condemns the Bush Policy of Pre-Emptive Strikes against countries who wage terrorism or harbor terrorists, would quickly switch to blaming President Bush for anything bad that happened anywhere, claiming a lack of leadership.
How Many Democrats are willing to Sign on a Democrat Contract With America in which these Democrats commit to IMMEDIATELY RESIGN FROM PUBLIC LIFE if there is a new Terror Attack against the United States?????
I agree 100% with David Kay: We Did the Right Thing!

Even if the only benefits of winning the War in Iraq were:
1) Saddam and his Boys are gone,
2) North Korea, seeing that President Bush was indeed willing to act on HIS timetable as stated so forcefully after 9-11-01, calmed down and became more cooperative.
3) IRAN saw what happened, realized that they were sandwiched between Coalition Forces in Iraq and Afganistan, and decided to allow Nuclear Weapons Inspectors to visit,
4) LIBYA's Col. (who's name I cannot Spell) decided to welcome in Inspectors and disclose his WMD programs.
Wouldn't that be enough???
