I started to get angry with Bush when he started his term as president by effectively cutting off American funds to foreign organizations that might provide abortions for poor people. Deliberately restricting a medical procedure to people in need is hardly compassionate.

Restricting public funds for what many view to be the immoral purpose of ending unborn human lives is both compassionate and a matter of justice to the many taxpayers who don't share this author's extreme hatred of human life.

Bush quickly made it clear he was going to pander to America's fourth branch of government, the Christian fundamentalist extremists.

Here we get to the crux of the matter. This author's hatred is really a hatred and intolerance of traditional Christian believers. Once again the Left displays its insufferable anti-religious bigotry and arrogance.
