There is no way this writer EVER considered voting for W. It is such a lie to suggest that. But as stated above by another poster, this is simply to position himself as being "reasonable" before he starts off to tell us how much he hates the guy he's writing about. Pathetic.

Also agreed that no matter what Pubbies do to placate the Left, they are still visciously maligned as the killer of innocents (except babies who don't count).

This whole "hatred" thing has very little to do with Bush but everything to do with the crossroads we are coming to as a culture. The fury the Libs feel is that they are losing the grip on the machinery that kept them in power: media (Fox News) and government (losing all three branches of the government to Republicans). That is what they hate.

The occupant of the White House simply makes a convenient target for their preconceived anger.

That is a large part of liberals like Sorenson's incoherent rage. If it wasn't Bush, it would be some other Republican and probably one far more conservative than Bush. Libs had thought that they had won the cultural war as well as the political war. Now they've found that there are substantial numbers of conservatives who are derailing the rad-lib express to oblivion, and it drives them crazy. If they're this upset with a moderate conservative like Bush who doesn't even say bad things about people who hate him, I wonder what they'd say about me after I eliminated all the lib pet programs and called them names to boot?
