Prayers for you & your family, Michael.
The words of your post captured a portion of your grandmother's vibrancy and talent - I'm sure a very small portion. I'd have liked to have known her; it sounds as though she was extremely special.
Blessings to all of you in your time of loss.

Prayers and condolences from our family to yours.
Our hearts are with you at your time of feeling loss.

You are not asking for too much. Losing a grandparent is tough, I lost the only grandmother I knew nearly 33 years ago at age 17. She was warm, funny, and spoiled me with love; everything that a good grandma should do.
Losing loved ones has always been difficult, and it never gets any easier. Only the time that remains before I get to see them again gets shorter.
Go to the service, tell stories of her love, kindness, and her humor. Sharing these memories will make it much easier. I will guarantee that laughing and sharing will make the whole experience one that you will always remember and treasure.
In the meantime, I will say a little prayer for God to help comfort you and keep you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your grandma's story with us. I hope you gain strength from the many stories of her you will hear during the coming days. Can't explain it, but my grandma has certainly been with me in the many years since she died. I still feel very close to her. My God grant you His peace.

WOW! What a career she had. Prayers lifted for her life and your loss. Safe travels up here to Buckeye country...

Your Grandmother sounds like a very accomplished women of her time. (The kind feminists think don't exist in her generation. But once again, they are wrong.) My prayer are with you. And I salute Beatrice O'Rourke, fellow OSU alumna.

You are not being self-indulgent...you are proud of your grandmother and well you should be....We are all who we are because THEY were who they were...
Those extra prayers you request will, of course, be offered my many at FR.
To: mhking
Hey MH, prayers are with you.
Grandmas are God's way of letting us know there will be at least one smiling face to greet us in Heaven.
I still remember the stories my Grandma used to tell me, which I have now passed on to my children and their children.

You're not alone, I think of my grandmom often, mostly
think what a jerk I was and she still loved me so.
Remember, everytime you find a penny someone in heaven put it there for you.
I always look up and thank them.
