The reason we don't have health care for every American is because powerful special interests - not only insurance and pharmaceutical companies, but industries that don't want to have to pay more for workers' health care - are the key forces behind most political campaigns.

I thought that it was because the American people didn't want health care ran by the same friendly folks that act like they're on life support at the DMV or who can only answer the phone once every 6 weeks at the IRS. I thought it was because the people didn't want to be taxed and controlled "socialist style". Little did I know, it was those damned special interest and those evil companies. Thanks Doc! Hey, when is someone going to start talking about ending those evil companies once and for all? That would make this place a utopia!

I live in Washington state, and Harborview Hospital, which handles emergency services and also services for people on welfare has waiting rooms full of muslims. Actually, I don't know how we could have gotten so many on public assistance, but they are sopping up a bunch from the state budget. Which is not to say they are any worse than anyone else sucking off the state, they are just more recognizable when they have their head dress on.

That's next on the agenda; government ownership of all those evil corporations. Socialism marches on.
