WASHINGTON - The Bush administration's proposed $2.4 trillion budget includes basically flat funding for California next year, suggesting that the White House has no plans to deliver the $350 million Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger had assumed might be available from Washington to help with the state's towering budget mess.

I guess I don't wonder where he got that tan.
An unrequited ass-kisser makes for an enthusiastic turncoat. For a President who might need to carry California, with a governor who could just as easily remain in office as a Democrat, this is poor political judgment on the part of Bush just to build a few more Iraqi schools.

a governor who could just as easily remain in office as a DemocratSome (I for one) would say the same for the president...after all, out democrating the Democrats is his strategy.
