Whoa...you scared me for a minute.
Thought I was at the post office looking at the FBI most wanted list and that three of them had been captured.

And Kerry needs to thank the media for those delegates
Because before yesterday Dean was leading .. not Kerry like the media kept telling everyone

Excellent post. This explains Dean's strategery. It's still a serious horse race.
(OK, I just made myself laugh thinking about the 'Horse Faced' Sen and his buddy 'the jockey' sized former Gov ... horse race indeed...)
Can someone take the time to put together the delegates up for grabs in the near term future and how each candidate is polling in those states?
* Dean's Washington gambit may not be as dumb as it seems...

Thanks for the nice concise and clear post. It seems that if the candidates keep adding delegates at about the same rate they are now, then Kerry is NOT going to have enough of 'em to win the nomination outright. There may be a lot of horse-trading to come!

No way does Dean have more than Edwards... that's using 'superdelegates' for Dean who by now are facing 'endorsers remorse'.

Exactly, and the Liebrman 25 will for the most part go to Edwards. The Super delegates can make this race tight.
Kerry, will not be thier best candidate, his closet is full of skeletons, and he represents the New England Gay Rights Marriage group, as of today.

This total includes those Superdelegates that have committed themselves.
Kerry 11.29%
Dean 5.60%
Edwards 4.72%
Clark 3.65%
Lieberman 1.16%
Sharpton 0.23%
Kucinich 0.09%
Dean needs a big win in Michigan. All of them need Kerry not to sweep both of Saturday's states.

No, but he is the establishment candidate as of now.
They certainly dont want Dean.
IMHO, Kerry is almost sure to win now.

Kucinich is bound to drop out soon.
Sharpton will stay in until he can broker a deal. And my guess is that it's to his advantage to stay in until the field is reduced to no more than four including him. It's not to his advantage to broker a deal with a loser. But he must broker a deal before one candidate has so much momentum that he is irrelevant.
My guess is that dean's momentum will continue to drop, and between loss of momentum and money problems Dean will drop out before Edwards.
So I predict it will be Kerry and Edwards. Sharpton will attempt to cut a deal with one of these two.
I also think Gephardt might go for the VP spot. He has tried a lot of presidential runs and doesn't seem to be getting anywhere. he needs something to give his career momentum
