...looks like you and yours have a new hero! Not in the slightest. I will be voting for GWB, albeit with grave and profound policy reservations...particularly as he accentuates how far 'off the ranch' he is trending [such as the 'Guest Worker' schtick].
As for your aspersions, we all know Kerry is a RAT, and a fink, and is merely using the legitimate issue of outsourcing for the political purposes. He will ride the horse only so long as it gets votes. He undoubtedly would do absolutely nothing once in the White House to prevent the 'treason' he has so recently noticed. He himself is guilty of myriads of treasons with scores of perverse speeches...and inimical votes in Congress and the Senate. He has voted against every major weapon system which has made the U.S. militarily superior, and helped end the Cold War: (The Apache helicopter, the Tomahawk cruise missile, the B-1B, the B-2, the MX, etc.)
The 'mainstreet' conservative base of the party, which has been ignored by Karl Rove and the 'Wall Street' money managers et al., has in fact long been warning GWB against giving the issue of unfair trade to the RATS without a fight. It is a potentially lethal issue...on the order of 'Read My Lips, No New Taxes'... and may potentially result in the RATs getting the White House.
Not to mention, that the outsourcing is just plainly, bad economic policy, bad for our technical industry workforce and industry capability...and a potentially major national security risk in its own right.

And who is "our guy?" The last I looked, I'm GOP. Naturally I'll criticize what I need to. But when the brass tacks are down, I'll do what I need to.

"Mr. Davis noted the tremendous disincentives to production posed by taxes, regulations, employee medical insurance, and labor union obstruction" "...the free enterprise system that made our economic miracle possible is being suffocated in a socialist swamp of regulatory red tape. U.S. regulatory costs especially from regulations allegedly aimed at environmental and safety risks..."
"...the millions of U.S. jobs that soon could be leaving for India, China, Russia and other offshore destinations, there is the added threat to American workers from imported labor. Hundreds of thousands of American information technology (IT) workers have lost their jobs in the past several years to foreign replacements through the L-1 and H-1B visa programs. American software engineers, computer designers, technicians, electrical engineers and other hi-tech employees are being replaced by workers from India, Pakistan, the Middle East and China. No other country in the world has adopted such reckless and suicidal immigration policies. Incredibly, the Bush administration is advocating an amnesty for millions of illegal aliens that dwarfs the amnesty proposals of Bill Clinton. Moreover, President George Bush and many members of Congress enthusiastically favor more outsourcing, more L-1 and H1-B visas, and more immigration overall. At a December 15, 2003 press conference, President Bush stated: I have constantly said that we need to have an immigration policy that helps match any willing employer with any willing employee. (Emphasis added.) There is virtually an unlimited supply of willing employees worldwide who would be more than happy to immigrate to the U.S., but how is that going to help put Americans back to work?"

"Study robotics.""Americas tool and die industry is in danger of going the way of our shrimping industry... it is essential to all manufacturing. The industrial machinery that is used to manufacture almost everything from cell phones, toothbrushes and Barbie dolls to computer chips, medical diagnostic equipment and fighter jet engines begins with tool and die makers."
One can study robotics all one wants, but w/o the tool and die industry in this country, How are the robots gonna get built?

Some folks just don't have any concept of reality. Here we are with whole industries lost, millions of our people thrown out of work, skyrocketing debt at the fedgov / corporate and personal levels, out of control illegal immigration costing us billions we don't have, etc. In spite of all this nonsense it's incomprehensible that anyone is so out of touch to think fedgov policies on all the above have been beneficial.

He's much more than an earthly hero.BTW, I never referred to Jesus as an earthy hero, you were the first to introduce that idea, although he is certainly that as well as a heavenly hero.
I used this definition for my comment.
"Hero--- A person noted for feats of courage or nobility of purpose, especially one who has risked or sacrificed his or her life.

What the hell happened to import duties? I remember when I was a kid my parents used always say
"buy American first because imported stuff cost too much" All those who are supposed to represent us and protect our borders are all guilty of (IMO) treason. They've sold us out too the god of avarice and the people of this country have been living in a gilded cage for so long they just don't give a damn.

"Can we start calling tariffs what they are, which are "taxes"? "So, you're advocating tax increases on Free Republic. I thought that was unpopular around here..."
On ALL imports...........hell yes. Place heavy duties and tariffs on everything that's imported into this country and SCRAP THE CODE, ABOLISH THE IRS
Without the IRS the price of domestic products and services in this country will plumet. When the price of domestic products and service's plumet in this country, people will prefer to purchase domestic which will stimulate manufacturing, Thus creating jobs.

"We renew and emphasize our allegiance to the policy of Protection as the bulwark of American industrial independence and the foundation of American development and prosperity. This true American policy taxes foreign products and encourages home industry; it puts the burden of revenue on foreign goods; it secures the American market for the American producer; it upholds the American standard of wages for the American workingman; it puts the factory by the side of the farm, and makes the American farmer less dependent on foreign demand and prices; it diffuses general thrift and founds the strength of all on the strength of each. In its reasonable application it is just, far and impartial, equally opposed to foreign control and domestic monopoly, to sectional discrimination and individual favoritism." What the hell happened to the republican party? The repub's and demo's have merged to become the Republicrats.

JBS does not interest me at all--
But their statements about the VP selection by Reagan are correct. Ron didn't want GHWB, and GHWB is no Conservative--never was, never will be.
It can be said that GHWB is more conservative than his wife, who is more conservative than Hillary.
Big deal.

Perhaps you should study the economics of JC's teachings.
Stuff like 'one's brother,' (not a Chinaman, BTW,) and the duty to one's own country/rulers (voiced by Paul.)
He was also quite certain that worldly goods were not a fit object of worship, following in the tradition established by His Father in the Big 10, #1 and 2.
Seems to me that the conclusion cannot be Libertarian/Unrestricted Capitalism.

I'm voting either Constitution Party or Libertarian. And if Bush loses because of people like you, you won't like who replaces him or any of his replacements policies, nominees, executive orders, tax increases.......are you getting it yet? Why don't you just vote Democrat and stop fooling yourself by hiding behind a Third Party label. You're certainly not fooling us.
