February 5, 2004 -- Janet Jackson's bare-boob bust-out has gotten her booted from the Grammys. A source close to the record-industry awards show told The Post the producers - under pressure from CBS, which is airing the Grammys Sunday at 8 p.m. - told Jackson's representatives her presence would overwhelm the telecast.

??????That makes no sense. Guilt by former association????

It's not guilt by association. Its the fact that the performers musical style is inconsistent with the values of the NFL viewing audience.

If we wanted to watch porn we'd rent a porn tape or something. We want to watch football. Bring back the half-time marching bands and get on with the game.

All these half time extravaganzas merely drive up the price of the game and return no value whatsoever. In fact, as seen by the SB halftime show, they are direct attacks on our values. The NFL needs to severely restrict anything associated with the NFL to maintain family values else they will destroy their market

I am all in favor of Janet Jackson being excluded from the Grammys. What a cheap sleazebag. Her apology did not ring true. As O'Reilly pointed out she said "IF she offended anyone. Janet must also live some kind of mental neverland.

They should also have excluded Timberlake. It's about time some standards are enforced.

No way, however, did MTV, CBS, and the clueless Tagliabue not know what was coming. It was hinted in advance. They thought they would get away with it and did not expect the widespread viewer resentment.

Apparently, last Sunday all those parents who are upset at the bare skin, were calmly sitting with their children watching a soft-porn exhibition, and listening to really explicit lyrics. The deadening effect of the downward spiral has been accepted until last Sunday.
_____

Yeah, that gets me too. I promptly turned off the halftime show as soon as it started. I didn't expect it to be clean or tasteful with the entertainment headlining in.

not be his fault at all.

Assume it was an accident (though I don't believe that). He is still at fault for lewd and lascivious behavior. Had he not been acting like an animal, simulating sex on stage, it would not have happened. The fact he does not realize his own actions are a sure sign he ain't a man.

She's the scapegoat. And her next album sales will skyrocket.

It was all planned.

She's not "the scapegoat". Nobody shoehorned her into the costume with the breakaway thingy. Why she's covering for MTV not knowing, when I'm sure they did, I have no idea except they may have promised to help promote her album like never before in the wake of this disgrace.

As to sales? They will be in the basement.

Idiot Timberlake ought to be axed from the Grammys as well, as he's lying, too. I saw this tape of his "I didn't know. I was SHOCKED". Lie after lie after lie.

Great...now we can be assured that someone else at the grammy's will try a stunt to grab the headlines. I'm betting Janet wouldn't have been a repeat idiot.

Are you not pleased that they dropped her? My only question is what took them so long to make this decision and why in the heck they haven't already axed Timberlake.

Totally agree...(I don't believe it was an accident. I believe Timberlake is acting like a thief who isn't sorry he stole, but is terribly sorry that he is going to jail)

Topic switch. I've been reading Damage Them All You Can...(so-so book on the Army of Northern Virginia) and lo and behold guess who makes an appearance at Gettysburg and at Mine Run. A regiment from Flordia... and they were fiesty fighters. :)

Couldn't the folks at the Grammys find a suitable pole for Janet to use on stage?

I lost all faith in the grammy's when MC Hammer won for best R&B act over Eric Clapton.

Immature, poor quality song lyrics alone should get Timberlake booted from the Grammies. What kind of grammies would he even be nominated for?

It makes lots of sense. Do a search and you'll find the lyrics to the crap he was going to perform on FR.

" Janet Jackson's bare-boob bust-out has gotten her booted from the Grammys."

The joys of alliteration.

Mr. Chasez was to sing "Blowin' Me Up (With Her Love)

Song: Blowin' Me Up (With Her Love) Lyrics

Saw you 'round the other day,
Shorty she was all the way
Looked like you were feeling me
So I had to come and see
Girl he wasn't tryin' to hate
But she had to demonstrate
That she was the queen to be
But she couldn't fight the chemistry
and I say...
I I I
I can't lose you, no
I I I
Nooooo

She was disco lights on a Friday night
She moves across the floor
Suga!
She was o so tight like dynamite
Blowin' me up with her love
She was on the phone with me
All night long
I just can't get enough
She was ah ah oh, ah ah oh
Blowin' me up with her love
Uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh....

Girl its just the sexy way
You back yourself into me
You're more then just a pretty face
You're better then a fantasy
Come on baby
Don't ignore me
I know what you're feeling for me
You can't fight it
Cause you want me
Don't you miss this or you'll be sorry
So tell me what it's gonna take
You've got me all bent out of shape
Thinking bout you all day
And how you gonna make me wait
and I say..
I I I
I can't lose you
I I I
Whoaaaa

She was disco lights on a Friday night
She moves across the floor
She moves across the floor
She was o so tight like dynamite
Blowin' me up with her love
She was on the phone with me
All night long
I just can't get enough
She was ah ah oh, ah ah oh
Blowin' me up with her love

She was disco lights on a Friday night
She moves across the floor
She moves across the floor
She was o so tight like dynamite
Blowin' me up with her love
She was on the phone with me
All night long
I just can't get enough
She was ah ah oh, ah ah oh
Blowin' me up with her love

Ahhhh... there's just something about you baby..
it's taking me over... I want you to know

Now it's on tonight
She took all control
Turned off all the lights
She said .... don't.. you.. want.. to..
Na na na, na na na
Hey!
Na na na na na
Yeh yeh yeh
Na na na na na na
Oh oh oh

Tell a story
She was leaning on me
Getting horny
Maybe we'll get naughty
Tell a story
She was leaning on me
Getting horny
Maybe we'll get naughty

She was on the phone with me
All night long
And I just can't get enough
She was ah ah oh, ah ah oh
Blowin' me up with her love
She was disco lights on a Friday night
She moves across the floor
She moves across the floor
She was o so tight like dynamite
Blowin' me up with her love
She was on the phone with me
All night long
And I just can't get enough
She was ah ah oh, ah ah oh
Blowin' me up with her love
Na na na, na na na, na na na na
She moves across the floor
Na na na na na na na na na na na na no
O! she may! o! I can't get enough

She was disco lights on a Friday night
She moves across the floor
Ahhhh!!
She was o so tight like dynamite
Blowin' me up with her love
She was on the phone with me
All night long
And I just can't get enough
She was ah ah oh, ah ah oh
Blowin' me up with her love
Ooo ooooo

Thanks for the lyrics, but really those are pretty tame by the standards of the music industry.
