As a Democrat, I'm disheartened and disappointed to see John Kerry and Terry McAuliffe trying to make this a political issue this year. With all the legitimate issues they could raise to debate the Bush Administration's performance, they are looking to the distant past and picking out something they see as a way to embarrass the man personally.

Again shows how the democrats beat the GOP like a drum

During the 92 campaign they convinced Bush's father to NOT use Clinton's draft record as an issue or mention his own WWII record

Now they say it is OK since they have Kerry

GOP gets blindside at every turn by the democrats and they keep benmding over and taking it

Welcome to FR. If you haven't already done so, you might run a search on FR for Kerry. It'll be an eye-opening trip through more truths about Kerry. While you are at it, check out the truth about McAuliffe, too.

p.s. I'm an independent, myself.

If you are a dem, you may be disheartened and disappointed BUT don't claim to be surprised. The democrats have not run a campaign based on issues since 1960. They know that if they state their true ideas, middle America will not vote for them, so the only option is to attack the person.
