The problem is that he is basing his whole campaign on his military service implying Bush did run from a fight. This isn't dogcatcher, this is president. If he's saying to vote for him because he doesn't run from fights, we need to see if he's being honest about it. Most of his tour was spent on a ship. Then he volunteered for the swift boat thinking that that was pretty safe and he could further his self-made comparison to JFK. The trouble is the missions for the swift boats was redefined. So he was stuck in a dangerous job. After a battle he complained to the officers that the swift bosts shouldn't be engaging the enemy. Then he left after three scratches and no missed duty which I've never heard a WW2 vet do.
If you're going to complain about honesty, go ahead.
The problem is that he is basing his whole campaign on his military service implying Bush did run from a fight. And for what it's worth, at least Howard Dean was against the war all along. The heckler is right -- Kerry voted for the war, and for the Patriot Act. Now, because the anti-war position is popular among the Democrats, he's all of a sudden anti-war again. Bring it on indeed!
