Ah, Nan, that's wonderful! I went on one of those West Virginia state park tours you linked on (Hawk's nest) and it was delightful!!

What state park is prettiest in winter time, do you think? I might want to take a trip some long weekend here.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING

Beautiful Lori! I'm sure glad I didn't sit up waiting last night. You found that beautiful picture! Now everyone will know why the Native Americans called WV "Land of the Mists". You can almost feel the quiet peace and dreamlike land. Thankk you for a most beautiful tribute to my beloved adopted state of West Virginia.

Keep the wind under your wings.

There's an old saying: "Clean side up, noisy end forward." (There's always an old saying, isn't there).

Hi Freezy! Just pick one. They are all beautiful. It depends on what you want to do. Canaan Valley is breathtaking. If you want to ski then Snowshoe. Just tour all those virtual parks. There is so much to see and do. In some places you will step back in time. You could come over every week-end for a year and not even get started. If you need a tour guide and have time to go a bit further west you can stay with me in my guest suite. I live at the point at the top of the Metro Area.

Would you believe they are actually candles? No kidding, they are. They were simply the most delicious looking cinnamon rolls I found when looking for a photo of them.

I had some grapes and a handful of mixed nuts this morning.

A trivia question Meeky. Which is the largest state in the U.S.? West Virginia. If you flatten out the hills it is larger than Texas and Alaska combined.
