do you want a "hostess" for each state?
if you don't mind a "host" instead, I would be proud to do arkansas. though I haven't lived there in 5 years, while serving in the army, it is and always will be home, and it is where I'll retire to a house in the hills someday.
just freepmail me if you want me to do this.

Ah, Nan, that's wonderful! I went on one of those West Virginia state park tours you linked on (Hawk's nest) and it was delightful!!
What state park is prettiest in winter time, do you think? I might want to take a trip some long weekend here.
THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING

You two did such a beautiful job on this post.
I've never been to West Virginia but came close one time on a trip to Canada. Definately need to go there one day since I love the mountains so much.

Hi Mama_Bear..... hi WVNan.
To my great surprise I found this presentation to be quite good.
Even if it wasn't I'd still say it was good, because I'm afraid Nan might whack across the head. :-)

Thanks ladies for a trip to a beautiful state. The first and only time I've been there was last summer on my way from picking up the kids in Pennsylvania. I drove right through on my way to catch I-95 in South Carolina. I didn't get off the highway, but it was still breathtaking.
My Florida born and bred kids couldn't believe the mountains. Of course, being a Western girl myself, I felt right at home.
We definitely need to get up there to spend some time.
Recent events have made me realize how much I miss my FRiends. (((((Nan)))))

Let's see some missiles!
040206-N-2970T-001 At sea aboard USS John S. McCain (DDG 56) Feb. 6, 2004 Guided missile destroyer USS John S. McCain (DDG 56) fires a RIM-7 surface-to-air missile during a training exercise. The Navy uses the Sea Sparrow version aboard ships as a surface-to-air anti-missile defense weapon. The versatile Sparrow has all-weather, all-altitude operational capability and can attack high-performance aircraft and missiles from any direction. During the exercise, the missile intercepted a remote controlled, GPS-guided test drone.
