Don't overlook who got us in there in the first place ... Kennedy initiated our involvement in Vietnam and Johnson accelerated the process with a large scale Marine amphibious landing at Da Nang in March 1965.

You are so right !
Kennedy was way down in polls till he got killed in Dallas ! Was in trouble and may not have been reelected ! This you will never see in Media ! I for one remember it ! He Was in deep trouble with people and he knew it. Johnson did not want him to go to Dallas, but he was in so much trouble with the people he thought he had to go. Go back and do some reading before he was shot.
