Several notes, so I'm going Larry King-style:

"I had an Objectivist friend who was a big Patti Smith fan."
She's no fan of ours. The unibrowed-one ranted extensively with the ANSWER-sponsored antiwar rallies last spring. All that usual Bush-equals-Hitler hyper-emotional blah blah blah (Iggy reference, ha!).

Speaking of Iggy Pop, he’s making out like a bandit, still making music and acting (on Nickelodeon!) and is the fittest, leanest 50-something walking. I hate him.

Who would believe that the leader of the Dead Kennedys would end up being such a tool for the last live one? Hey, Jello; I’ve got some cables when you’re ready to jump-start your mind.

It's pretty funny that the actress in "Sid and Nancy" spent hours in the makeup chair just to look like Courtney Love does when she normally wakes up.

Ten years ago Green Day burst on the scene with a retro-punk sound and a video where they played “play-it-where-it-lays” golf through a city. Then they opened their mouths and revealed themselves to be sheepletons.

Friday was Henry Rollins' 42nd birthday! While we can't escape getting older we damned sure don't have to BE old. “Just Get On the Bus” is still hilarious.

Tommy Chong is stuck in prison for selling bongs over the internet while Michael Jackson continues to walk around free. Misplaced priorities, people.

Getting a big kick out of new groups ripping off old ones while being hailed as innovators by the youth. "Born Too Slow" by Crystal Method sounds like the Stones, “-45-“ by Shinedown and “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” by The Darkness are reminiscent of Queen and “Behind Blue Eyes” by Limp Bizkit is a direct remake from The Who. Heard yet another new one that sounded like Emerson, Lake and Palmer. Most shocking of all, MTV is starting a radical new policy of playing actual music videos late in the evening.

The kids would be shocked to learn we had our own versions of “Jackass” and “Punk’d”. We called it being bored.

Triumph for President.

Keep ‘em coming!

“I hate to break it to you but the establishment is not the conservatives, it's aging hippies.

Ain't that the truth!

“Behind Blue Eyes” by Limp Bizkit is a direct remake from The Who.

Fred Durst should be shot for that.

And anarchy is just libertarianism

Replace "anarchy" with Anarcho-Capitialism and I'll agree. "Anarchists" though HATE capitalism and consider it part of the 'system'.

Pat Dinizio of the Smithereens is a big-time conservative, and Clinton-hater.

Hah. Agreeance. Apparently it's a real word, though.

Have you seen the video on the net of fred 'shredding' on the guitar?

Durst is a punk of the "holding onto the pocket of prison daddy" type. Despite that, I feel his excellent band and whoever produced that did a very good job. The insertion of the weird vowel verbals really stand out.

Johnny Rotten a Republican? Well..."Bodies" is obviously an anti-abortion song.

I could never understand why the hippies discarded their tie dyes and sandals for leather, spikes, and combat boots. Perhaps someone slipped them some bad acid, and now they're upset. Oh, the pain. Bunch of brats.

"God bless President George Bush and God bless America."

-Johnny Ramone in his speech when the Ramones were inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame.

Beat on the brat.
