Why all this fuss now? What does anyone expect from hollywoood? So far I haven't heard anyone banning or suing Madonna and Brittany for practically sucking out each other's lungs. That behavior was clearly as repulsive as the Janet and Justin show.
And why is Janet seemingly getting most of the blame? Justin was just as responsible. Even if he claims that he didn't expect that the entire garmet would tear away, just the idea that he meant to only pretend that he was going to tear the material away from her boob is just as tasteless.
I'm absolutely, positively convinced that if Nelly had grabbed at Brittany's breast (especially after grabbing his crotch), he may not have gotten out of that stadium alive, and Brittany would have been characterized as the victim, and Nelly would have been pilloried. A double standard for sure.
The public would absolutely not tolerate a black man tearing at the breast of a white woman, especially on TV. I recently saw a movie about a free black man (the movie was set in the 1870s or so) and a white female school teacher who fall in love. They share a very chaste kiss in the school room that was observed by a local. Of course the black guy was caught and shot to death. The school teacher was beside herself with grief and asked the sheriff why did they kill him? After all, they were just kissing. The sheriff told her, "Ma'am, we didn't kill him because you kissed him, we killed him because he kissed you." In other words, "black man, keep your hands off our white women or your carcass is history."
