I found out about this guy awhile ago. This guy was a British Muslim who converted during the tens. He was responsible for making the english Koran and a bunch of lectures on tolerance in Islam.

Muslims have NOT ended the slave trade. The slave trade among Muslims continues to be very lucrative. The UN "observes" it all the time. The only time they DO anything about it is when a bit of an outcry starts. Then they go rescue a bunch of slaves once, have the obliging media make a huge deal about how they champion freedon and human rights....then go back to doing nothing, because they're probably COMPLICIT in it. In fact, the UN was embarrassed when UN WORKERS in Kosovo were implicated in a SEX SLAVE scandal during the CLinton years. The media coverage was almost non-existant.

The president made a VERY pointed reference to the slave trade in an address to the UN last year. They got huffy. A few weeks later they miraculously "discovered" and rescued a bunch of children on the market at sex slaves. Then they went back to doing nothing.
