I didn't say YOUR husband didn't earn his medals! I was explaining the truth of what happens as a rule.
I personally know of officers who really earned the Bronze Star /Silver Star - and yes I personally know of one MOH winner also...but he was only a GySgt at the time.
"There are two sides to every argument, but I'm too busy to listen to yours"
Kind of shows why you reacted to what I said.
BTW I have 3 PH - but I did not earn a bronze star - The USMC has very stringent standards where .... "uncommon valor is a common virtue"
If you see a Marine with a Bronze Star - He has definitely earned the right.
If you see a sailor with a Bronze Star - I'd wager he was a Corpsman (or flight deck) and deserves a salute!

Your statement was a blanket endicment of the Officers in your and others outfits. My husband has six Bronze Stars, 2 DFCs and five commands under his belt. Your best charge is to attach my tagline, rookie.

For about the fourth time, I know a Special Forces officer who got a Bronze Star for being an admin officer during the first gulf war.
Go figure.
