Welcome to FR! I read your posts on the concentration camps. They were thoughtful remarks. I lived in Germany for four years and the holocaust is not theoretical for me. You'll forgive me, I was initially suspicious you were a DU troll. Invoking the name of Michael Moore can easily short circuit my rational thought processes:-) The short answer to your question is "No!". I don't believe gun control is the answer. England being an excellent example of a steady increase in violent crimes with stricter gun control. I'm off for a little shuteye now. Best regards!

I think Michael Moore is a populist and I dislike that. To be honest, in my eyes there is too much populist stuff here as well. Too many insults. I had been reading here for a while but never could make up my mind if I should register or not. Especially when the trolls really show up I do not like what happens. We should show them we have the better arguments rather than just ban them. That way they can just say that there is no free speech at the free republic and they keep preaching their nonsense. Although I agree, if they overdo it they just get on my nerves.
I never thought much about gun control but the one thing I thought where Moore could be right is that there are way too many people shot in the US and the statistics he showed were quite convincing that it is better elsewhere. But I do not know whether he just kind of forged them.
