My strategy would be to expose Kerry's liberal record through television and radio advertisements in swing states. I would start hitting him now.

There are over 2,000 national guardsmen in Iraq on the battlefield. There is no difference.

How about National Guard in Vietnam? I met lots of them.

Nope.

Kerry had only 3 months "in-country" before he asked to leave Vietnam on an unwritten technicality - plus 6 months sitting in an air-conditioned frigate (USS Gridley) off-shore.

Rest of his duty was back home in Long Beach, California.

People in his outfit claim he wrote up his own Purple Heart awards (for 3 minor flesh wounds), and both his medal accommodations.
