Johnny Cash Hackworthless & Ritter make a great team!
Maybe Worthless can get Ritter to find him a 13 yr old date off the internet. That is what Ritter does best, huh?

WND has turned down a strange road. Sperry's 'Bush Lied' article and this one may be two of many.
To: rmgb
Col Hackworth ignores discussion of the falling dominoes because Bush & Blair didn't back down over Iraq...Khadafy would still be building his bomb, Khan in Pakistan would still be operating his mail-order bomb business, Assad would be sleeping more easily, the base in Qatar might not be established & the troop withdrawals from Saudi might not be happening (and more barracks there being bombed), al Qaeda might be operating unfettered out of Baghdad, and the Good Guys wouldn't have a landing strip in Iraq to keep the heat turned up on Iran, Libya, Syria.... The entire Mediterranean would have soon been a boiling cauldron; no ships would have been safe and North Korea would still have all those good customers in the ME. Who wants to predict the price of gasoline in ten years under that scenario?

Tamsey, you are correct. The figure reported is $400K. I don't know where I came up with the 750 figure.

I'm not sure where you got your figure but I wouldn't be surprised if that number WAS mentioned.
He has been collecting lumps of money for years all pertaining to his advocating for Saddam (the book he wrote, speaking fees, etc)...... what you saw probably just added a few things together.

Hackworth is an American patriot with unimpeachable credentials. I would side with him before siding with Cheney, who had better things to do than serving in the military.
To: chichipow
WND was deleted from my favorite links 6 months ago. Hackworth has said nothing intelligble for 3 years. He was breathing heavy for Wesley recently after in years past calling him a perfumed general. Don't be suprised when you see Hack supporting Hanoi Kerry.

Again, the only question you need to answer is; are we better off today with Saddam out of power than we were a year ago when Saddam was in power? We all know Saddam "had" WMD in the past, had used them on Iran and on his own people. So whether they ever find the WMD, I'll sleep better tonight and ad infinitum with Saddam out of power.

WMD; how about the tons of high (and low) explosives that keep blowing up and killing people?? they were not found and i bet there are tons more laying around. i will also bet there are tons of WMDs hiding in Iraq. no, they are not in the places where they should be. suggest looking for them in spider holes made for WMDs.

Remember, they only recently found a huge cache of Nazi weapons including fully armed and fueled airplanes from World War II in Germany and chemical weapons from the Japanese in China. WMD are easily hidden and probably would not be found in a regular depot.

Cheney has more integrity in his little toe than Hackworth has these days. Being a good warrior does not bestow wisdom on an individual. Think George McGovern, Scott Ritter, Charlie Rangel, John Kerry.

Scotty gt the money from that Iraqi, but where's the movie he was supposed to make???
To: Tamsey
There was also a memo found in Iraq authorizing agents to offer gold jewelry to Ritter, presumably for his wife. But to be fair it didn't say if he accepted, it was just an authorization for their intel people.
They should have tried offering him a lifetime supply of candy or Burger King gift certificates.

Hackworth had unimpeachable credentials but took a leftist turn somewhere along the way. Just like Ritter.

Isn't it amazing how a poor, humble, pedophile can work hard and finally make something out of him self in America?
The news media must be proud.

And if Saddam did not have the WMD and the means to produce them on very short notice why would he refuse to reveal them or lack of rather than have his country invaded and himself removed.
No question that Saddam had the capability to produce bio/chem weapons but here's my thinking as to why stockpiles haven't been found--Saddam couldn't afford the chance that the weapons would be used against him/ his regime. He wasn't the most popular guy in Iraq and coups/ coup attempts are a fact of life. Not that SH would have been all that concerned if a Baath party convention had been annihilated, but he would have been concerned about the damage to his aura of ''invincibility'' w/in Iraq. Which leads me to the second point--The bio/ chem weapons were a means of controlling the Iraqi populace; the citizens of Iraq had to believe that Saddam had these methods of intimidation/ control & he could not afford for Iraqis to believe, even erronously, that he did not have those weapons. And finally, in Saddam's mind, it was imperative for his neighbors to believe that he had these weapons, most especially because Iraq's defense capabilities were considerably degraded post Desert Storm. The biggest potential threat to Saddam in the region was from Iran but Saddam had used bio/ chem weapons against Iran in the Iran/ Iraq war--a fact that would seriously hamper military recruitment/ retainment efforts in Iran. In short, the so-called WMD's, in truth or myth, were too powerful & too necessary a psychological weapon for Saddam to relinquish.
