The only thing interesting in this article is the blatant admission of a Virginia Democrat.

"``Anybody but Bush,'' said Charles Edwards, 50, of Falls Church, Va., who decided to vote for Kerry as he entered the voting booth. ``I'd vote for the devil.''

Why not?

If you did it in 1992 and 1996, why not vote again for the devil in 2004?

Kerry is "electable", the Dems say. Only goes to show that's all they're interested in: power. Kerry isn't being voted for because of anything he'll do or be other than "in power"

Like it or not this freak has the right to vote just like you or I. We never should have abandonded the requirements to vote that were in place when this country was young. Have to own property for one.

After witnessing 8 years of women ooing and ahhing about how sexy Bubba was and how he really "connected" with them, the removal of the 19th Amendment isn't such a bad idea. Soccer moms should stick to taking the kids to practice and baking.

Did you hear about the long time Republican who, on his deathbed, requested a surprising last wish. He wanted his voter registration changed to Democrat. His lifelong attorney, faithfully at his side, could not believe that the old geezer didn't wish for something more tantalizing. So, the lawyer questioned the old Republican several times to make sure of his sanity, then finally convinced, went to city hall and did the deed.

The old man was taking his last breaths when the lawyer, curious beyond decorum, asked him why his last wish was to become a Democrat.

Gasping, the old man closed his eyes and said his last words: "One less Democrat in the world".

I think they already displayed that during the Clinton years.

Just imagine what the electoral results would look like if only people who owned businesses, farmers and property owners were the only ones allowed the franchise.

Yeah, but he's still voting to this day.

You could probably get a better gauge by narrowing it down to tax payers too.

I think it would be sufficient to just limit the vote to non-dead American citizens.

Doubtful. Ever heard of a dead fellow named Mel Carnahan? The living in MO, not being content with voting for zombies like Gephardt, voted for him though a corpse he was.

An interesting twist on Richard the Lionhearted's reported comment when presented with a magnificent horse by Saladin, somthing like: I'd ride such a horse if the Devil himself gave him to me!

Perhaps Kerry's slogan should be Ignore the cloven hooves, ignore the horns, you don't even have to sign a contract in blood anymore, a vote for me is just as good!

"Like it or not this freak has the right to vote just like you or I. We never should have abandonded the requirements to vote that were in place when this country was young. Have to own property for one."

I propose that we make a requirement that you must be a taxpayer (amount irrelevant) to vote in any level election. Fed voting requires fed income tax payment, state voting requires state tax payment, local voting requires local tax payments.

This way the 50% of the nation that is mooching off the productive would not be able to vote for more opportunities to mooch. Hey, beggers can't be chosers!
