I agree on many of the Libertarian view, however I believe Drug enforcement is a nessesity. The drug War is a farce, but I believe something needs to be done to keep school age children from being exposed to that sort of thing. When they are adults, It's thier right to do what they want with thenselves, as long as it doesn't interfere with the rights of others. As much as it will hurt my feelings if my children deside to go that route, but it is thier right at 18 to do it.

I get so tired of these 3rd party parasites trying to siphon off Republican votes.

He wrote about libertarians running in Republican primaries. There are no 3rd parties (or 2nd parties) in primaries from which to siphon votes.

The remarks of Harry Browne following 9/11/2001 forever painted a picture of Libertarians as out of touch with reality.

Smoke on.

It's unfortunate that the Libertarians use the drug issue as a major platform issue. I tend to agree with them on the issue, but doing so makes them seem like they are only in it for the weed.

I believe if they focused more on other liberty issues, they would be much better off. They could still have the same belief, but not be so in-your-face about it.

I think they are using it to attract the younger voters, who rarely show up at the polls anyway.

The Republican Party was a 3rd-party choice at one point.

I've only posted one article, but I felt a responsibility to hang around and answer at least a few.

Hey mackster. I'm with you, I'll be voting Libertarian. (Just as soon as there are no viable parties remaining to the left of the Republicans)

We need a constitutional ammendment requiring runoff elections for all offices. It has to be legal for a third party to win and it has to be possible to vote your first choice without fear of thereby electing your last choice.

I think the point in all the verbosity was that Libertarian-minded candidates would do well to try to win Republican primaries and force a change towards smaller government from with the party.

Yep, and Ron Paul came to this conclusion long ago. Had he not (and had remained a Libertarian), he never would've even had a sniff of the HOR.

The message,as I read it, was not addressed to republicans but rather to libertarians.
