Perhaps the Democrat machine would rather let it be "known" that Kerry dropped out of the race, like Gary Hart, over adultery rather than because he was a part of an antiAmerican antiwar movement. Rather than reopen the wounds of 1960s radical protest, keep activism alive and find a new candidate.

There has been an enormous amount of past Kerry positions that are shockingly anti-American and great fodder in an on-going presidential campaign. I'm sure the Bush people have been working on this for 2 years now. However, Free Republic has worked on it for just the few weeks since Dean imploded and look what this site has come up with.

Amazing.

Kerry is doomed and the east coast establishment media know it.

I, too, hope Kerry has the momentum to overcome the attacks of the media because I think he's an easy target now for Bush to destroy.

The slipperiest candidate with no record to attack is Edwards.
