Kerry did far more than oppose the war.

He accused our servicemen of committing war crimes. He mad these accusations in a very public forum to attract the most attention---testifying in congress.

THAT is unpatriotic.

That is why he is being scorned.

He also promoted stories of atrocities committed by other VVAW members who he knew were imposters. Not only were his accusations false, he knew they were false at the time he made them.
