It is not true, as I said in my previous post, that Fallujah is a hot spot.

Other towns can be hot spots. Fallujah is totally out of control.

This is not a criticism of anyone but it is fascinating to me how these kinds of stories are becoming routine. FR is a microcosm of society, so it's to be expected, I guess.

Up to 50 attackers went from room to room of the Iraqi Civil Defense Corps (search) compound in Fallujah, throwing grenades and firing automatic weapons, said one police officer.

That sounds very organized. Something that would have been rehearsed. Not just building a car bomb and getting some poor schmuck to drive it next to a building.

I wonder who was being held in that police station that they wanted to bust out so badly?

The terrorists are not only killing Americans, but they are killing many Iraqis, I think like 130 or something in the past few days for example, to hurt the image of the US in the world and to create a picture of an anarchious Iraq, full of US failure.

The ideology of these terrorists must be declared enemy and targeted.

The Iraqis, as Muslims, will never be denazified and completely brought over to our side, as long as they live in a sea of militant Islamic thought.

That sounds very organized.

It does. And bold. They rode into the city on big jeeps bristling with weapons, and attacked the station. This follows yesterday's raid, when they missed the US commander, but all the attackers got away. I bet they are ex-Iraqi army.

Maybe those 3000 new South Korean troops should be sent to Fallujah. Those guys are truly bad-a$$.

Do you think it was just an attack or do you think the attack was specifically to get the prisoners out? That's the aspect that troubled me. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like there must've been someone in there they wanted badly to get out. So much so that they would go to this extent.

Obviously, this was a well planned mission and was executed successfully. You'd have to drill a bunch of guys quite a lot to get that sort of result. Al Qaeda has trained on these sort of tactics in the past.

There...how did you like that?

I think that the Patriot Act was made for people like you. Watch your step, boy.

Watch your step. And don't call me boy.

If you want to wrangle about the Patriot Act (believe me, you don't) then Bring It On!

No, I won't call you boy. Actually, I mean boyoh, which is a slang term the Irish use, an ironic term for "man."

But do remember that case of the British woman who got arrested and put before the courts because she made a joke about having a bomb in her bag. Loose talk ...

The Koreans are kind of like your dad when you were making too much noise upstairs, "You want me to come up there?"

I worked with the Tiger Division around Qui Nhon in 67 and would not have believed some of the things they did unless I had seen them.

Maybe in private some time later.

My post #5 got removed and I'm not sure what I said in it since I've been posted furiously for the past 30 minutes or so.

I haven't received a warning or a suspension so it was just probably a thought not allowed.

I haven't been posting to my friends on some "just fun" threads because Kerry keeps me riled and posting on politics all the time.

God bless President Bush,,may he be allowed to lead this nation 4 more years.

Riled up would be a mild description of me right now.

I wish we could see our deleted posts. I really don't remember what I wrote and the posts after didn't highlight the offensive remarks that got it pulled.
