I know him, if it's the same guy who worked for CNN as a newswriter around late 1986-'87. Among other things a particular defender of race-based *affirmitive action* hiring policies, there were a few folks in Atlanta who thought it most amusing when his job went to a black guy who was a middlin' typical graduate of the public school system, a more likable individual, but one who literally had to be reminded to keep his shoes tied.
