Another SUV with a mind of its own, going wild story. I noticed my SUV looking at me a little funny this morning. I gave it a few swift kicks in the tire and now it seems to be behaving.

What's next a SUVBomber Terrorist/Freedom Fighter?
For a profession that supposedly went to college and learned how to write the English language they sure get the language wrong. I've seen assembly instructions that were more accurate and clear than far too many of our "Journalists."

Another SUV with a mind of its ownSigh...
This is how auto-accident stories are written. The story is what the vehicle does. Not just SUVs, all vehicles. I know Rush goes nutty over every story written this way about SUVs, but he's just flat-out wrong.
To write it otherwise is to write speculation, not news. If they write "John Smith was driving his car at 100 MPH when he drove it onto the sidewalk and struck several passengers with it", and he turns out to have died of a heart attack before the crash, or the car had a mechanical fault, then what they've written is incorrect. The story is that the vehicle went 100 MPH, onto the sidewalk, and hit pedestrians.
Here are a couple of local stories from the past few days. Fatal crashes, neither one involving an SUV.
"The 1998 Pontiac Grand Am was traveling at nearly 100 mph in the northbound lane near the Litchfield line at around 4 a.m. Saturday when it skidded out of control, went off the turnpike and rolled over several times, police said."
"Kerrie Marsh was driving to North Hampton, N.H...when her car skidded off Interstate 495 and crashed into a tree ...Her car, an Audi 100 Quattro CS station wagon with New Hampshire license plates, landed in a stand of trees on the highway's right-hand shoulder..."

The media seems hell bent on identifying the vehicle if it is an SUV, but scarcely mentions the vehicle type if it is anything other than an SUV regardless of the severity of the accident. This seems to be universal practice...is this part of some journalist's style manual?..a national conspiracy?? ...or just routine media political correctness??? Enquiring minds want to know.

The story is that the vehicle went 100 MPH, onto the sidewalk, and hit pedestrians. No. The story is that the DRIVER caused the vehicle to go over 100 MPH, onto the sidewalk, and hit pedestrians.

Aha!
The ubiquitous SUV strikes again!
When is our government going to wise up and outlaw these killer cars?
Our children aren't safe, our streets clogged with these gigantic monsters who kill without reason.

The SUV kills without even having anyone behind the wheel! Some people just don't get it that these SUVs have minds of their own with the object of murder and mayhem their only goal.

Does the SUV get to collect points if it commits suicide?
To: freedom1st
Yes... the SUV is an animate being with a life of its own. Expect Rush to mention it on today's show.

How about that SUV Rush talked about on Friday wanted for rape and kidnapping? No one is safe!
Now, if the article stated that the SUV was wanted *in connection* with kidnapping and rape, I could see that. But this slimeball SUV is wanted for it! What I want to know is if it is an American SUV or a foreign one, cause, we do not need any foreign SUVs coming into this country committing such acts!
