Actually, what you've got there is the old red - blue map at the state level from 2000. Zogby ran a poll that showed more or less the same results in red and blue states. The key would be numbers of delegates now Vs. then, even a small shift would be bad for Bush. Bush needs to grab one or more of the upper midwest blue states if he wants to avoid another fiasco, plus he needs to solidify his base in the red states, some of which were not red by much in 2K (witness WVA and NH). The biggest problem for the GOP is that CA has become a blue state - we were a red state prior to the 1990s.

Take the long view.
The long-run goal is for liberalism to disintegrate, and for the Democratic Party as we know it to fall apart.
Once the Democratic Party implodes, the Republican Party will split in two. Half the Republicans will leave for a new party or to take over the empty shell of the failed Democratic Party just for the political infrastructure.
At that time in the future, our two major parties will be a Liberty Party and a RINO Party, whatever they are named.
This will only happen if the Democrats lose at the polls again and again and again. It won't happen this year yet. But it will happen some day. That is why I vote Republican.
