As a contractor, this really irks me, as I see the plans for the new schools they plan around the state.... large round glass ceilings, architectural details that cost a fortune, full theatres that rival the Amhanson, and hundreds and hundreds of them like that.

A private contractor could design and build 5 schools for the cost of them building one.

Besides, if illegal aliens weren't required to have free schooling, we wouldn't have overcrowding, or need more schools, so this bill should rightly be called,

"The Bill to build schools for illegal aliens".

Governance gone crazy.

California governance is yet to even recognize the cause of their financial crisis let alone take the necessary steps to correct the situation.

To suggest that California can continue to increase it's indebtedness regardless of how noble or necessary the cause is beyond common reason.

Placing almost $30B of further indebtedness on the ballot may well be the necessary straw that breaks it's financial back and eventually returns the sate to reason and solvency.

What happened to all the money CA was supposed to receive for the schools from the lottery??? BTW if they deported all the illegal aliens we wouldn't have to build any more new schools to educate their children...

Yup, unfortunately, 187 passed with like an 80% majority and was 'struck down'.

Of course, these are the same courts that say it is unconstitutional to say "God" in the pledge and that you have no rights to discipline your children. The courts are not lawful anymore and that's where the revolution needs to start.

There is a 187 light bill out now, that isn't as draconian as actually requiring the state to follow federal law, so there is a chance, if it gets enough signatures, that something incrementally can be done.

Ca sucks, but then again, I still have fresh tomatoes from my vines planted last year.
