The government doesn't seem to believe in promoting jobs for Americans but sure isn't cutting down on social program spending.

Bull...I agree with you on the social spending but Bush is working hard to give breaks to corporations...the problem lies with the corporations. What is your proposal? Force big companies to hire people by the federal govt threat? How conservative is that?

Its human nature. No one complains about the government acting like a bully when the government is doing what that person WANTS.

Person X thinks its just fine that the government can say to company Y you have to keep X and pay him a minimum of Z dollars. But if the government tells X that he must work for company Y and can make a maximum of Z dollars, why thats tyranny!

I really don't see any differnce between the 2 scenarios myself, except who is getting screwed by the government.
