I worked my way through college much the same way you appear to be doing. Paid my own way, no loans, and just a couple of small ($500 or so) Pell Grants.
Didn't have to worry bout the loans to be paid off after I graduated. Listened to several counterparts complaining about having to pay off their loans and was glad it wasn't me.
Course it took me longer (5 1/2 yrs) to get through...
