I knew a woman who was married to a policeman killed in the line of duty. She married another policeman after about a year (this guy showed up and presented himself as a friend of her first husband and offered advice and help). Only after about five years, when she finally recovered from the shock and grief, did she realize she had made a mistake and married someone she didn't like simply because of his connection to her first husband.
I think Kerry did the same thing. Everyone knows she adored Senator Heinz. I think she has suddenly realized that Lurch is NOT what she wanted. Sadly, she is sort of stuck with him.
If I were her I would take my millions and buy an island and hire guards to keep him and his thugs away.
