Larry Flynt Preparing Abortion Smear Against Bush

PRESIDENT Bush faced an extraordinary claim last night that he once paid for a girlfriend's abortion.
The latest smear in an increasingly dirty election campaign follows a two-pronged attack on his likely election opponent, Senator Kerry. While Mr Bush and Senator Kerry have so far steered clear of personal attacks, their unofficial supporters are stooping deep into the gutter.
Senator Kerry has already successfully shrugged off rumours about infidelity.
He has also been besmirched by photos falsely linking him with anti-Vietnam War activist Jane Fonda.
Now paralysed porn king Larry Flynt is preparing to publish equally dubious claims that the pro-life Mr Bush once made a girlfriend have an abortion.
The abortion rumour started last week when rap star Moby, who dislikes Mr Bush, suggested that Democrats attack Mr Bush in his conservative constituencies.
"For example, you can go on all the pro-life (internet) chat rooms and say you're an outraged Right-wing voter and that you know that George Bush drove an ex-girlfriend to an abortion clinic and paid for her to get an abortion," he said.
Now Flynt, whose last political foray was a hamfisted run for Californian governor, plans to publish the abortion as fact in an upcoming book.
"I got the story nailed," he said. "I've talked to the woman's friends, I've tracked down the doctor who did the abortion, I tracked down the Bush people who arranged for the abortion."
The trouble for Senator Kerry is the Republicans, who have their backs to the wall at the moment, seize on such material as sanctioned mud-slinging by the Kerry camp.
"It's only February, and they have made clear they intend to run the dirtiest campaign in modern presidential politics," declared Republican National Committee chairman Ed Gillespie last week.

He has also been besmirched by photos falsely linking him with anti-Vietnam War activist Jane Fonda. One photo that I know of is fake. One has been acknowledged as genuine. Kerry's participation in Fonda-esque anti-war activities is beyond doubt.

If it is true, I'll be very disappointed.
However, I hope Mr. Flynt understands that I along with many likewise feeling Republicans will STILL vote for President Bush. My disappointment would not drive me to vot for Kerry or any other communist (oops, I mean democrat).
Mr. Flynt's only accomplishment here will be continued reign as the King of Crap. His legacy will be that of a bitter little man pushing porn, he will be forgotten. If Mr. Flynt really cared about America, he would be pushing the value (whatever it possibly could be) of the left wing candidate he supports.

And in light of this post getting pulled from "Breaking News" I can say that being diligent is getting much harder here on FR. The mods obviously think that two day old stories are more important "Breaking News" than this new attack on President Bush. Get ready for the story to be "Moved to Chat."
